I am not a fiber expert nor have I run a sustainable business. I am very fortunate to have generous experts around me to provide advice and help me learn on my journey. I am so thankful to have these wonderful people guiding my growth about local fiber communities.

Alice Funk

Alice tends a small herd of sheep with her husband on Sunnymanse Farm. I met Alice early on and she continues to be a wealth of knowledge and a person of unlimited kindness. I feel honored to have her ear.

Taryn Fisher

Taryn teaches at KSC and is a member of the Board at Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music. She is passionate about the arts & culture, circular economy, and community well-being. She says, "Buy Local!"

Katie Sullivan

Katie is transforming access to local yarn. She processes fleeces that may not otherwise be turned into yarn, gathers fiber farmers fleeces, and sells recycled yarn. She is vital link to increasing access to local fiber.

Patty Williams

Patty owns Aker Farm in Enfield, raises sheep and grows and processes flax. Her depth of knowledge is amazing and it is a joy to listen to stories about processing flax by hand while she spins!
